Getting To Providence (And Accomodations)

Getting There

If you are flying to us, we recommend checking rates both for flying directly into Providence's T. F. Green airport (PVD) or Boston Logan (BOS).  Sometimes the difference in fare for flying in to one or the other can be significant, and it's easy and inexpensive to get to Providence from Boston.

From T. F. Green, you can access Providence by shuttle, commuter rail, or take a taxi (for approximately $30).  Please visit the airport's website for more ground transportation information.

From Boston Logan, the easiest way to get to Providence via public transportation is to take the Silver Line from the airport to South Station, then the commuter rail to Providence.  Please visit the MBTA's website for schedules and subway fares. Peter Pan buses also runs a regular line from Logan to Providence Downtown (Kennedy Plaza).

Providence also has an Amtrak Station, so arriving by train may be a good option if you are coming from the East Coast. The Acela and Regional trains run from Washington, DC to Boston, MA.

Accomodations

Equinoxes presenters can take advantage of a special group rate at the Providence Biltmore Hotel.  We have checked around and are fairly confident that this is the best price you will find in Providence for the dates of our conference.  You are, of course, welcome to secure lodging at a different hotel of your choice. To take advantage of the group rate, please make your reservation by clicking here.

Please contact the hotel directly for more information regarding any lodging questions you may have.

If you are interested in splitting the cost of lodging with another Equinoxes presenter, please let us know in the REGISTRATION FORM.

We will put presenters who are interested in sharing hotel rooms in touch with one another so that they can make arrangements accordingly. If you have any other questions as you prepare for your visit to Brown, please do not hesitate to let us know.

We look forward to welcoming you and listening to your presentations at Equinoxes 2013!
